Hi, Forum Friends,

Please see the attached image: Lighting Problem: Troffer Light - Lens 2'x2'(2 Lamp) - 120V is from the Revit Architecture 2013 family. the 2 lights on the right side show black in rendering. But as shown in attached image: Lighting Problem 2, if I rotate the angle and zoom in, they have no problem. I tried everything I could think about and browsed many online topics, and I set the rendering quality to High, but I just do not have a clue.

Please Help! Thanks so much in advance!

Typhoon, Thanks for helping. I tried everything introduced in the threads you forward to me. but still not work.

i checked self-illumination, set glossiness to 50, and when i tried to set invensity to a higher value, the drawing burnt while lights remain dark. The light and the ceiling all from revit its own family.

Hi, Everybody,

Again, I did the following as my current settings:

1. Use the family inside the softweare not from downloading, both ceiling and lighting fixture

2. Check "Emit Shape Visible in Rendering"

3. Diffuser Material: Check "Reflectivity", Set "Transparency 95", Check "Self-Illumination"

But I also tried other settings and different setting combinations. I even ever pulled the light out side the ceiling.  And if I did something wrong, why other lights are ok.

No matter how, the three miserable ones simple not light up.

Please Help!

THANKS!!

We really can't help because you don't give us enough information.  If you look at your first posted view, what am I looking at here ? - see my markup.

I don't believe you have lights - it looks like you have holes in your ceiling and I'm looking at the white sky and walls or building beyond.

Who owns the ceiling?

Do your lights cut the ceiling? .... Sure don't match the grid - do they?

Do your lights really work?  We don't have a clue.

Hi, WWHub,

Thanks for reply. You marked "What is this?" "And this" in red in the picture. Those are exactly what I am asking for helps.

I used the revit its own ceiling family, lighting family, (not from downloading), Set up all lights the same way, but except these three showing black out areas, the others are looking good.

These three lights are all the same .... so what's up?

The light on the left has been hidden in view so all we have left is the hole.
