How do you precisely locate a 45 degree corner? When I use a horizontal dimension to the corner, it's not editable...
Thanks!

If you are unable to edit the dimensions, try placing some temporary intersecting lines in the position you want to place the wall corner. Once you have that location move the walls corner to the intersection of these two lines.

Yes, I have 6.1. But the only points are located at exterior/interior faces of the walls, no matter which type of wall join you use. And the dimensions are not editable.

You certianly can dimension to angled wall positions. if you want to dimension between two angle walls, select the dimension tool and place your cursor over the first angle wall position and press teh tab key until you get the desired grip point anywhere within a walls layers of sub-components. Repeat this for teh other end to get the second grip point on an angled wall. This will work with any walls and any location within a walls layers or components.

Thanks for the reply, but I'm not dimensioning BETWEEN two angled walls. I wanted to run a horizontal builiding dimension and catch the corners of angled wall joins; such as you would dimension to a 45 degree bay popout in a breakfast nook.
In this type of situation, I have found that you can only dimension to the wall face (either side), not to the core of the join. And even dimensioning to the face, the angled wall cannot be moved by editing the dimension.
If you have found otherwise in THIS case, please let me know... I would love to know how to get this to work. I usually dimension my angled walls with horizontal & vertical dimensions to the points, not with an angled dimension.

I have had the same issue you are describing... and the work-around that I've found works best is Mr Spot's suggestion.

Dont forget you can use trim tool. If you set up reference lines create the angled wall on the line you need then trim the walls they will line up on the reference lines and meet where you want them too the only thing that will change is the dimension but if you check it the walls remain the right length.
