I need to create a very job specific truss that will exposed (It's structural and decorative) it is made out of HSS14X0.500 beams. I was trying to create it as a Family. The problem that I ran into is that I can't seem to use the Coping comand when creating the family. Am I missing something?

The coping command is for use in the project. If you want a cope in the family you need to use a void to cut the beam or edit your extrusion and apply the cope to that.
