I am having two problems when I create a grand stair using stair by component method.Revit 2014
First problem, if you look at the pic Stair that I attached you will see that the stairs do not line up with the landing, is there a setting I can change to fix this?
Second problem, if you look at pic Edit Stair, when I go back in to edit the stairs adding a style by converting to sketch mode after finishing it looks like this. If I use the arrow to change the orientation, as typical of stairs in revit, it switches all orientations so the upper stairs are backwards. Is there a way to fix this, is there something I am doing wrong with my settings when I edit, or is there a way to add a switch direction arrow to each indivdual component with in the stairs component?
I am aware of other methods of creating these stairs but I rather not go through the hassle or creating multiple stairs and a new floor level. Any help is greatly appreciated and I thank you for you time.

I have solved the first problem. Starting over..I created the lower run of stairs, then I edited the stringer properties..upper end cut-horizontal cut, trim support at upper- match landing support. Then i went on to create the landing and the upper stair run, on the upper stair properties I changed lower end cut to horizontal, this trimmed the stringer to the landing stringer, I also changed trim support at upper to match landing, I don't think this did anything to the connection to the landing.
As for the second problem I am still stuck, I have limited down to a problem with making the bottom tread circle back to the side of the stairs, for some reason I am able to create this effect when I use stairs by sketch to create the stairs, but when I use stairs by component then convert it to a sketch to edit it there is an error that switches the orientation, any help with this is greatly apprecitated.

To anyone having the same problem I was able to sort out the orientation issue, when creating a stair by component start with making the bottom set of stairs, adjust the stringer settings, then convert it to sketch mode and edit the sketch to form the stair shapes you want, then click finish, select the the stairs (which will now be oriented backwards) and choose the flip stair option in the ribbon.
After doing that you can go on to make the landing and one set of upper stairs, mirror the upper stairs then convert the landing to sketch, edit the landing sketch to accomodate the second run of upper stairs.
The only thing I cannot figure out is how to create a curve that fluidly connects the outer stringers and railings from the bottom stairs, through the landing, to the upper stairs. I will post again if i figure this out. I have attached a pic of the model I have so far, please excuse the railings as I am messing around with it.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. I've been trying to figure out the first run flip problem for ages and you've solved it. Wonderful
All the best from NYC,
