Hi all,

I'm trying to put threading on a male adapter for a pipe assembly that I'm putting together. I see that I could use sweep void forms possibly but I would want to create some sort of helix for the path. I don't see how that is possible in revit because you can't do 3D sketching or atleast I don't know how to. I've searched Youtube and the web for tutorials but have been unlucky. If anyone possibly knows how this can be done I would be grateful to learn this.

Thanks in advance,

Alex

Revit is really NOT right for this. Revit is NOT usable for very small elements like pipe threads.  You would have to model the thread height in feet.

Maybe you should be working in Inventor.

I was just wondering if this was possible because originally I was told to make it in AutoCAD but we came up with the idea that it would be awesome to have in revit. That video is pretty awesome by the way. I'm not even close to that good in revit yet. Well thanks for the response, you saved me from wasting a lot of time trying to build it in revit.
