We are currently creating some new detials(in revit 2013) and saving them as seperate views for use with other projects by right clicking on the drafting view and then "save to new file"
But on some of them, when we do this a new view pops up that is blank and then the saved file is blank as well.
Any idea why this is happening?

Our process for this is to create these views all in one file (resource project) so there is no need to save them out.
If they are being created in a project, you can open your resource project and load the drafting view from your project.
