hi to all. i'm using Revit 2014, and i'm building in the clearance for Electrical panels and other devices. i know how to build in the clearance, and get it to be mostly transparent. but the one thing that i have not been able to figure out is how to set the height of the clearance to automatically adjust to the room height. i would like to set up a parameter that will make the clearance go up to the bottom of the floor above, and automatically adjust if the floor changes. any ideas?

Is this a reporting parameter?.... What is the reason for the height?

If the height is an instance set to a reference plane (strong reference), you might be able to lock that ref. to the bottom of the floor above after placement.  << But I'm not sure.....

even if it's a parameter that i can adjust after, i can just make it an instance. i was hoping that it would be automatic. since typically there are not a lot of equipment that needs the clearance all the way up, it's not a big deal. but if it can be done, i would like to know how to do it.

thank you again.
