I have seen water being rendered in revit but can fabric be rendered. I am talking about a loose kind of fabric that is dynamic, like shirt being hung to dry. than can be porous. or would that have to be photoshop?
I am working on a project in India, and there is a material that we can use which is burlap.

Any type of image that is applied to a material can be rendered.

If you want a fabric to appear to be flowing, hanging loose, you need to model it like that.
If you just want it to look like fabric, do as teafoe5 says, and add a material to you family. There are several pre-defined materials in Revit, including fabrics.
