When I import a contour drawing and create surface etc,   the edge of the contours join together and create "inclined walls" of surface.  How can I edit the source CAD file or revit to prevent this?

Image attched - red line shows what I calkl the inclined wall surface created by the joined edges of the contours.

Many thanks

In Revit you can "Split" that surface and delete part of the surface you don't want/need OR you can EDIT that surface in Revit and add extra points if that's what you want.

Thanks for that, I will try Revit editing the surface, but I was also wondering what I can do in the CAD survey file to prevent it at source.

If your site doesn't really look like that then your imported CAD survey has some bad points.  Look at that in 3D and you should see the really bad ones.  But this is the resposibility of the surveyor.  Point it out to him.
