tHE loaded tags - generic - has been taken up, I am trying to load electric door tag but it isn't loading for electic fixtures.... where do I add this tag?
Can I have 2 types of generic tags?
My generic tag has been altered to have 3 slots w three labels.
I want to have another generic tag that is single label with letters or numbers
Please help

Generic is a category but you can start with a generic template but assign it to any category.
You can have as many tag types as you can come up with unique names for them.
Read your HELP - TAGS

I have not been able to change the category of generic tags, I've tried copy past, that doesn't work, then loading an open specific tag into generic and that doens't work either. HOw do you do change generic to something else?

Tag categories are set in the family. Download the "families guide" from the autodesk site. I believe it is 2010 but still applicable.
