hi, i'm new to the whole revit scene but have been using autodesk products for 20+ years and this one is stumping me. i have the exact issue as the OP in the thread i've posted below in that i have built a model for a project we are doing and in the model all of the textures are correct yet when i go to print the 3d view none of the texture patterns print unless i'm zoomed in and doing a detail view. if i'm really close to the building they will print out but if i'm wanting a shot of the whole house i wont get any and it will print solid shades instead. i have the most currect drivers for my graphics card installed. is there an option button unchecked somewhere? it printed exactly the same in raster or vector modes. any help would be greatly appreciated. i need to add that an identical computer with an identical install of revit 2013 can print both pdf and paper copies perfectly with no problems. any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks,
dan

Think about this. When you have linework that is really close together or is at a severe angle to view, you no longer have linework - you have a blob. Revit will not print the pattern if it can't distinguish one line from another. This is why most brick and block patterns don't show both edges of the mortar joint. So either simplify the pattern like brick or don't expect it to show.

i fully understand this, the issue is that on my computer it will not print the pattern yet if the exact same file with the exact same view is opened and printed on my coworkers computer everything prints as it should. the hatch patter is not complex (horizontal siding) and what is stumping us is that it works on his but not on mine.

it wouldn't let me attached the second image so here it is. i'm guessing it's a simple solution ie a button isn't clicked but neither my coworker or i can find it as our computers are identical and we think the install is as well, but obviously something is different.

You don't say anything about the PDF program .... Is it the same one? ...exactly ? Meaning updates.
This is not a graphics card driver issue, it is a PDF print driver issue. Operating system may aslo be a problem.

double post deleted.
it was a cutepdf writer problem specifically a problem with the ghostscript portion of the application. i reinstalled and it seems to be working. thanks for your help, i was concerned it was going to be a graphics card issue. many thanks.
