Revit 2013
I have created a door tag using the Vision Panel parameter, which is a 'Yes/No' Visibilty Parameter.
In the label for the tag, I want it to report a 'VP' if the Vision Panel is present, and be blank if the Vision Panel is not present. Is there a way of having an IF statment in the label to enable me to get the outcome I require?

You can not have formulas in tags. You need to make this a type parameter and have a parameter set that is read by your tag and is set as a type.

I was thinking of have a second parameter, called VP Present, which could report using an IF Statement. Something like this:
IF (Vision Panel = Yes, "VP" , " ")
Syntax is wrong though and can seem to get it to work! Can anyone help?

A type parameter can not reference an instance parameter so vision panel must be a type. Otherwise, it looks OK.

Syntax doesn't seem to work, as the attached image.
Any thoughts?

People need to learn to use Revit's help.....
Your problem is you did not check on the proper syntax in your help under the topic
Conditional Statements in Formulas
where you will find "IF with Yes/No condition: =Length > 40 (Note that both the condition and the results are implied.)"
"IF with a text parameter: =IF (Length > 35', “String1”, “String2&rdquo "

Read .... ".... (Note that both the condition and the results are implied.)..."
IF (Vision Panel, "VP" , " ")
