I have Revit 8.1 at the office i work at, and i have Revit 8.0 at home. Its strange as to how i have the 2 differant versions, they were both loaded off of the same Revit Disc. I was working on something at home for a couple of days and than i worked on it at my companys office one morning. After i finished working on the file at my office i saved it and sent it to my email so i could continue working on it when i got home. When i got home later on the day i downloaded the file and want to open it and i got a message saying " lakehouse.rvt was created on a later version of autodesk Revit and could not be opened in this version. I was wondering if their is any way to save a file back to a previous version?

i am joining to your question...same problem.
maybe you have also revit 6 on the disk, and it is trying to open the file by default? in this case' opening revit 8 and dragging the file there can help.

No you cannot save back. Do a search, this has been discussed alteast 100 times...
Revit is bought on a subscription basis so you always have access to the latest version, providing your subscription is current so there is no reason not to have the latest version.
