I tried to enter text in section view, but revit won't display the text and I get an error message. What is going on?

Your process must be incorrect but you have not told us enough to help you very much.
Is text on?Telling us what the error message said would have been useful!!!

The error message says, "Text created not visible in section view. You may want to check the active view, its parameters, and visbility settings. "

Well then, did you do that?
Check VG - Is text on?
If not that then did you check where your annotation clip range is? VP - Annotation clip box. Uncheck it and see what happens.
