I agree with dgcad, your questions is hard to answer because its very unclear and you images tell us nothing.  In most instances to hide families you should be using visability graphics.

Sorry for the bad first post. see new pic

The problem is that in order to control the shape of my structual framing (hollow core slab) I creat parts- divide parts- the exclude the cut of part. But Now i have som views were the orginal shape of the element is showing up?? I have Visibility settings to so parts and it show the division i have done but also the excluede part.

When i transfer the veiw temp from one to the other it changes.. so i know where the problem is but i jus cant seem to find it!! had the sam prob when exportinh to naviswork but found the parts option in the export menu and that fixed it.

I wouldn't even bother putting in the individual slabs like that as it can really bog down your performance.  I would have just created a floor and took care or the hollow core look with detail components in any section that I had.

But to try and answer your question I have my own...so if you apply a view template to one view and it works, then you apply it to the other view youre saying that it doesn't work?

No when i aply the template it works. But i just want to know wich setting it is that makes the parts visabel.

I modelled the slabs so i kan produce shop drawings of the uneven slabs. I only have them in the structur model and it is not effecting preformence. now with 125+ elementes. thank u i7 3930 and 16gb ram
