Hi All,
I am creating a door family in Revit 2013. It has four different door width sizes with all parametrics created within the main family.
I have created a number of additional families made from 2D linework which show disabled access setbacks from the door. Each of these are nested in the main family on top of one another.
I want to be able to do the following:
1. Select a door width and for them to be unable to change the door width.
2. With a door width selected, I want them to be able to turn on and off the nested family that applies to that width. All other nested families for all the other door widths need to be greyed out ( or turned off).
Thanks all for the help and merry xmas.

1. I don't understand this. You want to select a door width and then not be able to change the width??
2. Can you attach your family for us to take a look at? It sounds like it would be easier to just make the door parametric and change it to whatever size you need than have to worry about only having 4 sizes

Hey Teafoe, thanks for replying.
Family attached as it stands.
Answers to your queries:
1. 4 fixed door widths, 850/900/950 & 1000
2. Attached

Hi Beau,
I did not open your attachment but from your initial post, I understand that you are looking to make types for each individual door. I think, you can try visibility parameter (Yes/No) for turning off all other doors in the type parameter for one particular type.
I am not sure if you are looking for something else.
Cheers.
