I am using Revit 2014.  I decided to pin my gridlines, because everytime I would pan on the page I was working on, I would accidently grab the grid line and move it.  Unfortunately, once I pinned the grid, I can no longer select it!  I am able to dimension to it, take a measurement from/to, etc. but I cannot select it to un-pin it and edit it, hide it, or adjust the tails, etc..  I also tried selecting the 'unpin' command first, but am still unable to select the grid.  HELP! Smile

I cannot think of a reason for this.  Try dragging a selection box from right to left, over a portion of the grid line.  This will select anything it touches.

Now, filter your selection to remove all items selected which are not grid lines.  If you have a DWG or image underlay, sometimes it seems you cannot select anything because your selection box is outside of your field of view.

I just tried this.  Now, I noticed that I am unable to select ANY pinned objects!  I have some equipment linked from an AutoCAD file, that I had pinned and now I just noticed that I cannot select it either.  I did a window from right to left and it wouldn't select any of the objects that I have pinned.

Found it!!!  In the bottom right hand corner, I had somehow turned off the select pined objects button!  Whew!  Not sure how I did that, but glad I found it!

I feel old and out of practice--I've never seen that checkbox. Glad it wasn't something too puzzling.

Don't feel bad, that is a relatively new button.  I answered a question wrong the other day about segmented grids because they snuck that feature in on me.
