Trying to make a wall legen with a new, existing and demo wall.

cant make the 3rd wall completely dotted. it still leaves the line so you get this dotted line over a continuous line. and I can only see the dotted when I fatten it up super wide.

can someone tell me how to make my demo wall look dotted?

There is no way to do this without a workaround.  I would just use 2D linework.

Finish the process and the blue goes away.

Yeah, had to use the dotted line annotation.

@Hub: I did finish, just brought that window up again for the screen shot... still cant make a "demo" wall in a legend...

Sorry - I did not realize it was a legend although I see now you had that in your topic.

Are these really legend components?   I can't even get what you show.

If you have a separate legend for just that wall, then you can control it with VG and just place this legen overtop of your other legend.

I placed 3 legend components (walls) then set one to coarse (and it goes to white, ive set that in the wall type styles, and phases) set one to fine (and it shows my nice detailed poche'd wall with the gray fill.) and the last I selected and right clicked to override graphics in current view, set that one to "hidden lines" but it remains solid with a hidden line sort of overlapping...so to explain: Most architects use solid walls as existing, poche'd walls as new, and dotted walls as demolitioned. but earlier post is right. cant do it, but its just as easy to draw a simple hidden line rectagle to represent the demolished wall.

-Warc.

edit: and Ill try that overlap trick. thanks!
