Hi everyone! First off, I will thank everyone who has any thoughts on the matter because this is truly driving me crazy. I am working on Revit 2014 and I want to create the firestairs for a 5 story building (+ basement) and the heights between floors are different. That prevents me from using multstory. I've tried to create the stairs in one single run with constraints from Basement to 5 but that will lead to my landings being off from my floor levels. I was unable to force them to the necessary levels
So now, following some advice I read here, I'm trying to build up the stairs level by level. Which works fine when all I want to do is create the two runs plus middle landing. But when I try to connect them to the other landing with a notch, I can't do it. (see image) I've created a Floor to serve as the next landing. And I join (i think this is only in 2014, not sure) the run coming up to it with the floor and it'll create the notch - top left of the image. But I am unable to join the run starting from that floor - where I also need a notch - top right. So it seems that I am able to join the top of a run to a floor but not the bottom.
Am I doing this right? Is there a better method for multi level stairs?
Thanks!
