We are trying to demo shapes within an existing wall with no luck... We've tried: In-Place Families Opening Tool Door Opening Families Edit Profile w/ Infill Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Accidentally deleted Materials trying to make this file smaller. Let's try this one more time.

Hmmm, Using an external family either: Generic model wall hosted template-->opening OR Door-->opening It displays fine in all views except for the 3D... Here it appears to lose its edges where the opening is created. I wouldn't have thought the 3D side of things would be as critical so this would be my preference. I suggest you send this information off to Autodesk support so they can resolve the issue. HTH.

Maybe you can post your solution. I've tried Generic model wall hosted template-->opening AND Door-->opening. Boundaries still don't show in the South Proposed Elevation or 3D view as you mentioned. Looks like the Edit Profile Tool with an infill wall is working better. It still requires some cleanup though. Post edited on 2006-02-16 20:26:43
