I have linked a structural revit model into my model and want to turn some of the linked models layers off.  When I go to visibilty Graphics, everything is greyed out with no options to select anything at all.

What is causing this????

Do you have a view template applied?

Take a look in your HELP file to learn a bit about them.  My first guess would be you have one applied to your view, click on your view and under your properties see if there is one applied or if it is set to none.

It is set to a view, does it need to be set to none?

ok so that makes the VG box live again, but still not sure how to turn off Grid lines and levels off on the linked model.

Under VG>Revit Links> Display Settings> click on By Host View and in the RVT Link Displat Settings dialog box change from By host View to Custom and turn them off there.

You need to spend some time with your help file and check out some tutorials on linked models, worksets and view templates.

Mant thanks for that.

Your right with regards to learning about worksets and view templates though.  Been thrown in at the deep end on a live project you see and need to learn quick!

Been getting alot of help from youtube.
