I would like to include spares in the load classification summary at the bottom of my panel schedules. When I edit a panel schedule template (and when I select a panel in the model and look at its properties), there are a few spare-related parameters (all have values, not zero): *Spare Connected Spare Connected Current *Spare Demand Factor *Spare Estimated Demand Spare Estimated Demand Current I would like to include the ones I have *'d. I can assign them to cells in the template editor, however, then I change the template on a panel schedule, nothing populates that cell. I have attempted to insert a "Calculated Value" and just inserting the parameter or the parameter x 1, and just end up with zero (eg, Spare Connected * 1 yields 0 VA). Also, I have attempted a "Combined Parameter" with the desired parameters, but it remains blank in the schedule (if I add wires to the combined parameter or something else, it will display the number or wires and a separator). I have "Include Spares in Panel Totals" selected and the panel totals are calculating correctly, but I haven't been able to find any posts or information on populating the load classification summary with spare totals (or simply including the parameters on a separate line in general). Is it something that simply just doesn't work and people/Revit have given up on? This project is our maiden voyage into Revit, and client would like to see this in our schedules.

Okay, I accidentally figured out the solution to my issue. Revit didn't include Spare in the list of load classifications on the templates, but included every other default load classification and any that I had created in that model (not transferred).
Here's the solution I found:
1. Open up a template by going to the Manage ribbon -> Panel Schedule Templates -> Edit a Template and select a template to edit. 2. Select "Set Template Options" on the left end of the Modify Panel Schedule Template ribbon. 3. Select Load Summary. 4. Under "Show in panel schedule:", change to "A constant set of load classifications". 5. Change it back to "Only loads that are connected to the panel" (unless you want to use that setting, then move over the loads you want to display). This will put every load classification set up in the model in alphabetical order in the "Scheduled loads" column.
I discovered this solution accidentally when load classifications weren't showing up in another project's panel schedules after transferring over the templates and load types. Changing to the option that lets you choose the loads to show repopulates the load classification list with every load class, then changing the setting back moves them all over (including spare).
I'm not sure why Revit doesn't make the "Spare" a default load classification to be displayed in the load classification summary, but this was a very happy accident.
