Hi there,
I'm having trouble with some plan views that cut into a hillside. The view settings are shaded, so normally I have my brown/grey earth colour wherever I cut into it - except for when I pass below a building pad at a higher level.
My otherwise nice looking plans are therefore looking pretty ordinary!! I've seen some older posts about this subject with no solution other than photoshopping PDF's. Has anyone/Autodesk come up with any solutions to this??
I'll attach an image to explain.
Thanks in advance.

You are right - Revit has always treated the area beneath pads differently.
You can probably edit your pad sketch, window the sketch and save to clipboard, then exit that and create a filled region pasting in the linework (invisible lines) and using the earth pattern.

Thanks for that - sounds like a reasonably efficient work around........ even if it would be nice for AutoDesk to fix what appears to be a fairly longstanding yet basic bug!
