Using Revit LT 2014
I've modified the standard 6" tile pattern in Revit, to a 12" tile in a black colour. When I render it turns out GREY! Someone please help!!
Attached pictures for your reference.
THANKS SO MUCH!

Is the material really applied?
Was it ever painted?

I added it to the floor construction (edited the structure).
I have the same tile on a storefront, same problem.

Sorry but without more information, we can't help very much. I will say that if done correctly, then Revit will show it correctly. Try posting a file that has a wall with this material and has everthing EVERYTHING else purged.

What other information do you need? I attached the 3 pictures above that have all the settings I used for the Tiles.
See the attached. I started a new project and did the same thing modifying the tile.

is the sun just brightening the material too much? what if you set the material to 0,0,0.... how does it look then?
I usually start with the rgb code i'm looking for, then make it a few shades darker.

First off there is no material applied to your walls see picture 1. Secondly I don't know why you made an in place extrusion for the other "thin wall" instead of just a wall. Thirdly I have no problem rendering it, see picture 2.

AbsoluteBIM - In my actual model, I have it in an enclosed space (roof, walls, floor) without walls on the ends - similar to a mall hallway. I've tried to set it to 0,0,0 (Full Black) and it still turns out grey.
Teafoe - I created it as an in-place wall. It's for a storefront so I have to wrap around corners, switch from full height to a 4" base, etc. So it's just easier. HOW DID YOU GET IT TO WORK !!!???
Much thanks!

In your materials under the Appearance tab change your Ceramic color from RGB 32 32 32 to black or RGB 0 0 0. I thought it was a phasing problem at first but it is just a color problem. It is seeing the RGB that you currently have it set as a more gray than black.
This is the file that you gave me, I just changed the material. Try rendering it and see if you still have the problem. If you do make sure that you have all of the service pack updates installed on your version of Revit.

Okay, this is blowing my mind ! Seems like such a simple thing to fix, but I can't!
Teafoe, I tried opening up your file and rendering it with my version of Revit, and it worked completely fine. I even tossed your material into my project, and the cut lines showed up better, but the colour is STILL grey!
I assume that since your file rendered fine, my service packs are all up to date.
Do you have any other ideas of what it might be??

I don't understand what your saying here. You have downloaded the service pack for Revit 2014?
I don't have any other ideas as to what the problem might be.

Open up your material editor and make sure it is set to black. Take a screen shot and attache the image.

I just wanted to let everyone in this post know that the problem is resolved.
I changed the Tile material from Porcelain to Cermaic, and it rendered perfect normal, showing the exact colour(s) I want.
Obviously there is something messed up with the Porcelain material in that file.
Thanks everyone for your help.
