Community,
First off thanks for taking time out of your day to read this and for any consultation and suggestions you can provide. I'm still relatively new to Revit. I'm currently using 2013 Revit Structure and I'm having some issues with view templates in respect to grids and levels.
My question is if there is a way to create a view template that shows only certain grids and levels as it pertains to sections and elevations? In other words I have a section cut and I have gridlines 1 and 2 shown and detail the section out and create a view template out of it. Then I'm forced to add gridline 1.5 right in the middle of grids 1 and 2. Is there any way I can ensure that gridline doesn't show up in the section? This also happens with levels. Anytime within a project I have to add a grid or new level they always end up appearing in sections, details, elevations that have already been drawn and detailed out. Therefore I have to painstakingly go to those affected sections and hide them in view because they have no business being in there.
If this can be done I would love instructions on how to do it. Is it a "filters" thing within view templates?
Thanks for the assistance.

Sounds to me like a job for 'Scope Boxes'.
The second series down is an oldie but a goodie.
