The office standard makes me create seperate viewports with no View Title, yet they also want it to name each elevation label as elevation 1,2,3 ect.

How do I accomplish this without having to typre in elevation numbers for each view?

I don't understand what you are trying to accomplish.  The view name will be whatever you name it when on the sheet.  In your properties there is a "name on sheet" section for your view if you want it names different than the actual view name.
