I am modeling an arbor and need to show dimensional lumber in elevation and plan. When I use columns and beams that are 3D dimensional lumber elements (2x6s, 2x4s etc) they appear as simple lines in plan and elevation. Is there a setting to have these items show their actual size/shape in 2D views? Or, should I be using a different modeling tool?
Many thanks!

Did you try to set the detail level to "Fine"?
