Overall what im trying to achieve is to make a color red so as to bring attention to itself while employees are working with the model, but once its printed to be black like every other tag. Lets say a certain area/room needed to be marked with a red tag type, while all other rooms use a black tag style. Is there a way that while we work the revit model the red tag looks red, but once its printed, pdfed, etc, to be black? Its similar in purpose to penstyle in autocad i guess. Change it so that red appears black is a penstyle setting in the autocad print dialog. Is there a similar way to achieve this in revit? or a workaround.

Thanks!

If you want to just change the color of a few tags just click on the tag and override the graphics of those tags and change their colors to red.  As long as you are not printing in color they will turn out the same as the black ones do.  In revit it is the lineweights that make the difference in how they print, not the color.

I know how to change tag color. What i need is how to make a tag print another color than it is on the screen. Lets say i have black tags, red tags, and green tags. Iwant the red tags to print black but look red in the program. Making the whole print BW will make the green tags black as well.

Change it to print the way you want at print time only!

This seems like a foolish need.
