Hello everyone, I'm NettoSaito. Currently I only have about 5 minutes of free time to introduce myself, so I'll try to cover as much as I can until then!
I'm an ex programmer, ex indie game designer, a writer, a video game reviewer, and a CAD Drafter. I've awlays been interested in design, which is what lead me down the path to becoming a CAD drafter, and just lately I was able to fufill my dream of becoming a CAD/Revit Tech.
Although I work as a CAD Drafter, I still have quite a few "hobbies" as well. Despite breaking away from game design, I am still quite active in the gaming world. I'm a video game reviewer (which I have won quite a few cash awards from), a video game ocllector, and within the past few months I launched a gaming blog as well. Although it is still small time, it is constantly growing with around 50,000 visitors coming to our main page alone (not including the Tumblr, or other outside locations).
For quite awhile I was actually planning on becoming a full fledged game designer, but that all changed when I decided to sign up for a CAD Drafting class. While my original plan was to take the class to learn how to become a better map designer for my current game project (which was an online based game which had around 2,000 members at the time), I soon realized how much I loved CAD drafting on its own! Sure, people playing my game were happy, and I even watched a few form offline relationships because of it, but I realized that I wanted to do more with my life; instead, I wanted to make a real difference.
I have always been the type of person who would do whatever I could to help others. I'd go out of my way to help friends, or even complete strangers; it really didn't matter to me. If someone needed help, I would step in, and do what I could. Now, thanks to drafting, I can help people in more ways than I could have ever dreamed. I like knowing that everything I do helps thousands of people, even if they don't realize it. It is just something I really enjoy, and that is why I am here today introducing myself.
Now that I am a Revit tech, I have a feeling that this site will become my new best friend. Although I have quite a bit of experience using revit now days, I know that things won't always go as smoothly as I hope.
Well, anyway, that just about sums me up! I look forward to seeing you guys around!
