I am new to revit i am using 2013 i would like to know how i add materials to a column so it has the look of a brick pier/pillar in my project i have attatched materials but its not showing in any of my views hatched with brickwork can someone please help me thanks

Not enough information on your problem.  Do you have a hatch pattern assigned to your material?  Are you sure you have assigned a material to the column?

Architectural columns will assume the material of a wall it is placed against.  Structural columns will not.  What do you have?

I have drawn a extension which is in brick but the colomns are not attatched to the brick wall they are independant which carry a cateleiver roof i have had alot of experience with architectural dektop but im very new to revit im not sure if i have assigned the material or the hatch correctly thats what i would lke to know how to do if you have the time would be ver gratefull thanks

This is an architectural column and the materials are set in the type.
