All, I seem to remeber a tutorial about creating a 3D detail. I beleive the specific example was a window sill & jamb detail. Does anyone remeber this, do you know where it is? I thought it was located under tutorials here at Revit City but I can't seem to find it. Thank you, -R

If you have a revit subscription you can logon to AU Online. It's there along with many other tutorials. http://pointa.autodesk.com/local/enu/portal/signin.jsp Post edited on 2006-02-14 19:09:25

I checked out the tutorial you mentioned on the AU subscription website, it is not the one I'm looking for. Their tutorial just deals with setting up a 3D view. The tutorial I'm looking for was specifically about aliging a view such that you ended up with a really nice looking 3D detail, ie you used the 3D crop box to really zoom in on a small part of the model and essentially capture in 3D, information that would normally be drawn in two 3"=1' detail drawings. In this case the author used a window jamb & sill to illustrate how to set-up this 3D detail view. I understand how to use 3D views, and I know I can align them to a variety of objects and planes. However I'm interested in the methodology the author was using to achieve his end result.

Thank you,
