Any ideas as to why the interior elevation symbols in a 1/8" plan might not appear (not hidden either) in an enlarged plan, 1/4", of the exact same room?

Annotation elements in linked Revit files do not show in the revit model unless the link is by a specified view in that view.

This is not from a linked file, this is the original file. On a 1/8" plan, I inserted three interior elevations, then bubbled around that room to create an elarged plan at 1/4". The interior elevation symbols are not appearing in the enlarged plan.

You miss-named your thread.
Elevation callouts behave differently if the view is plan or detail. You need to experiment with these to really understand the rules. Elevation callouts in a detail plan view will not show up in any other views.

My apologies on the verbage... I guess I need more help than I first thought.
The elevation callouts originated in the plan view, not the detail view. I have placed elevation callouts on one plan before and had them showup in other plan views in the same project...
Could it be because I used a detail bubble?

When you make a callout - before you place it - pick the type - plan or detail. <<<<< That is what I am referring to. Click on the down arrow in the properties box.

Thank you WWHub, I have been missing that option for quite some time now. It is kinda deceiving when the wall section cut line shows up, but not the elevation symbol..

You will find this option to be very helpful. Typically, we only create interior elevations in detail callouts - then we don't have to go around and hide them all in the smaller overall plan views.

First my apologizes for rehashing a thread from 2013.
I was searching for the cause of my elevation tags not showing up in my enlarged millwork plan which is tagged from the floor plan when I came across this thread.
I am having a similar issue in which my elevation tag is not showing up in my enlarged plan view. I have created the enlarged view utilizing the callout tool and using the floor plan option rather than the detail option.
I have found that when I use the detail option, the elevation tool is grayed out and unavailable in the enlarged view. Thus the use of the flor plan option within the callout tool.
When I attempt to place the interior elevation tag into the enlarged view, I am meet with a message stating that "none of the created elements are visible in Floor Plan.... check active view, it's parameters, visibility settings.... "
When I look back at the overall floor plan, the tag is present. I have checked the visibility setting and eveything that should be on is on. I checked the annotation crop region and it should encompuss the tag. I even checked hidden elements and it doesn't show there.
Is there a setting that I am missing to get this to show up?
Is there a toggle or way to activate the elevation tag tool when also using the detail callout?
Thanks

Look again at your VG / Annotation settings.
Turn off annotation crop to see if that is your issue.

Sorry about the reposting of the original. don't know how that happened.
I rechecked the V/G and turned everything on. I have previously created view templates and thought that may be the issue, but I have set the view tempalte to none and it still doesn't show.
I've turned off the Crop view and no signe of he tag.
I'll keep at it.

Found it!
Although I switched the view template to none. The filters was still in effect for the view which excluded my elevation tag.
