Greetings,

I am using Revit Arch 2013 and need to get pendant lights suspended from a sloped (5 degrees) generic compound ceiling vertically (ie; not at an angle) but at the same height to the underside.

I have already read various discussions on this board but have not yet found the solution to fully acheiving the above. I either get the pendants hanging vertically at different height or I cannot get them to hang vertically to begin with becuase the family type is incorrect.

I would very much appreciate someone spelling out exactly which family type I need to achieve this, the pendant light model already exists ready to copy and paste into the family, I just need to ensure that when I complete this 'new' family I can check 'always keep vetical' and adjust the 'drop' for each instance.

Many thanks,

CM.

Here is a pendant that does what you want.  Use it - change it - or follow it as an example.

BTW - Reread your first sentence because it doesn't make sense as written.  Communication in all forms is important in our business.

Thank you for this, I see what you mean about the first sentence.

This is exactly what I need, I may be being silly but once a series of these pendants are in the model how can I get them to sit at the same level to the underside? I click on the properties but there is no option for the length of drop available, none that i can see at least.

Many thanks,

CM.

Re-look at my image - the answer is there.
