Hi there,
I'm trying to create a rectangular facade panel to apply to a divided surface on a conceptual mass.
The basic panel appears to work, but the complicated part is that I would like to have some "bubbly" holes that adapt to the changing form of the panel.I will attach the original panel file which shows the intended appearance, and a trial volume upon which I have applied the panel. When applied, the holes are all concentrated in the middle as they have not adapted.
If anyone can help, it would be much appreciated!!
Cheers

There are two you are missing.
1. There is no connection of location.
2.'Spline' can't have locational connection. you have to use 'Spline Though Points' to give them locationa connections.
After all, making this kind of families is not easy. Why don't you use material map?
what i made has little faulty, but i think not bad..(used cut off map)

Hi Dingohot - thanks a lot for your reply!
What you've done looks pretty good and certainly looks like a technique worth exploring. I imagine it should be a fair bit lighter than the complex modelling that I was trying to do.
I am not familiar with material mapping (there is no mention of it in the user guide). Do you know of any good "how to" guides? Or is there any chance you could upload your model so that I can see what you've done?
Thanks again.

I'd love to. I didn't uploded because i was not sure it's enough for you.
Don't forget to place the image map file at the proper location in your drive.
and this video could help to understand cut-off map.

Revit2013 was used at the video. it's much easier in other versions.. ver.2013 just sucks in material UI.
Enjoy :-)
