Good evening,we set up a central file for several users with matching worksets. Now only 2 out of 5 user can open that central file (open, create new local file, specify) to choose work-sets.For the others, this option is greyed out and we have no clue why..We would be very thankful for ideas how to solve that..BestThorsten

What do you mean by this: "...we set up a central file for several users with matching worksets..."?
A central has worksets - period! What is the matching? Every local will see the same worksets.

Thanks for replying!
You are right, sure.
We created a file with worksets.
With matching I meant one extra workset for every user.
We have been told that every user should open this central file with the options (open/save local/specify worksheet)
Unfortunatly this option "create new local" is just greyed out.

If the option to create new local is greyed out you do not have a central file created. I've never heard of having a different workset for every user and I really doubt that is a good idea.

I agree with teafoe, no worksets for every user. As a matter of fact, don't check out any worksets! Allow Revit to "borrow" items from worksets as you need them rather than owning a workset.
Checking out though is different than loading. The reduced loading is really useful for large projects but not necessary for most projects (except for possibly linked items).
If you are truely opening up a central, then I have never heard of the workset options being greyed out.

we found it
some of the machines had (slightly) differing mappings of the file location on the server. After re-mapping the server in a different way (matching to the other ones) it works. Thanks for everybody trying to help!
