I have been having this problem for a while now. 

Sometimes I build a window and when I insert it into my project the cut plain cuts it, but doesn not show it. I have adjusted the cut plain a bunch, but nothing in this regard changes. does anyone know how to fix this, or what Im doing wrong?

Im sorry. I figured it out. 

the actual 3d parts in the window had their visibility turned off in plan view.
