I am new to Revit, and for my first project I have been working on rebuilding an old project in Revit 2014 to sharpen my skills. Most of it has been pretty simple, or I have found a solution right away. But this one I had to come to the forums for help. So thank you in advance.
The project has three single curved masses that are being used to create curtain walls. Each wall is at a different elevation because of topography. The first wall, which is at an elevation of 0'0" went perfectly. I am now on the second wall which is located at an elevation of 10'0". The curtain wall went up fine, but when I try to place any kind of door into a panel, the door's handles seem to be about 1'9" higher than they should be. I think it is 1'9" because I have a grid line at that hieght that, but I removed the segments from the panel. I'm not sure why it would affect my doors on the second wall, but not the first wall. My guess is that for some reason its using this removed grid line as the base plane for the ref plan of the door, or maybe it just has to do with the elevation differences. Hopefully you can help me out and tell if I'm on the right path or just way out. I will include pictures of the two doors with their properties and the highlighted grid lines. Thanks again for any help.

hi,
i think you are on the right path and revit itself cant even show us the correct handle location (noticed the thumbnail on your type selector/browser?).. regarding your case, i will edit door family and add instance parameter to control the height of the handle.

Thanks for the suggestion, as I started to explore the family and play with the door handle heights, I noticed that somehow the door panel was actually upside down. As I lowered the height of the handle it kept raising in the model. So i changed teh paramters of the model to instead draw the handle down from the top the same distance it was meant to be up from the bottom and saved it as another family. Problem solved! Thanks, and if anyone knows of another way to flip a panel instead of re-editing the panel family I would love to know that too! Thanks again!
