hi
i created new crosshead, pile and pilecap using default generic model family and then just change the catergory to my desired family.
my problem now is when i export my ifc,,, and upon checking it, they are now under generic models and not the family category i chose.
is this supposed to happen? kindly help, thanks.
using RVT13
tried: 2x3 and coordination view 2.0

update:
tried to install exchange apps: ifc exporter for revit 2013 <-- still no change
tried to open and update my file in rvt2014 and do the export ifc there <-- still the same
whats the catch here?
im guessing you cannot use the generic model family and always use the correct family template?

UPDATE
good news from autodesk (hoping!!)
and i quote:
"I understand that you have an inquiry regarding family category issue for structural framing elements when exporting IFC.
For this issue, I was able to replicate the same and this issue will be escalated to the development team. We will keep you updated whenever there are any updates from the team. "
