Hi,

I'm pretty new to Revit so maybe I'm missing something obvious but I would appreciate any help. I'm using 2013.

I have created a circular tapered column family (started with the structural column template) and it slants in my main model fine. The problem is when I click attach top/base to attach the top to a roof above the column, the column does not extend to the roof, although it's reference point does move to the intersection location and is generating an error. So in short, it seems to be attaching (in theory) but the column is not extending.

I have attached the family in question and a view illustrating my issue, and error report.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated, thanks

Perhaps the end of the column extrusion / blend / profile is not aligned and locked to the reference line in thefamily.
