We've modeled a Hospital Bedhead Unit based on manufacturer drawings to place in our Revit Model.
Everything works fine except for the fact the unit is shrinks or increases with width based on the thickness of the wall.
We used a family template to start our model and the default wall thickness for the refernece planes is 150 mm; however none of our other wall hoisted elements have this problem.
If we try to attach it to a wall greater than 150 mm, the unit gets trimmed; if we attach it to a wall less than 150 mm thick it stretches to a new thickness...
I don't know what's going on.

Without even opening the family, I know the problem. Revit has a tendency to associate model elements with different planes in the wall hosted family. You even may choose the wrong reference to dimension your elements off of when you create them in the family..
I always build wall hosted objects around a reference plane that is initially placed well away from the face of the wall. Then when finished, we move this plane to the face of the wall using a dimension.
