this is a new one for me, and i consider myself a pro, but for the life of me, cannot figure this one out. Revit 2013: it would seem that i have an interior elevation for a restroom. (See image "Plan View" and notice shower arangement and where cut plane is located) now when i go to the opposite elevation it shows the backside of the elevation i was first referencing. (See image Back Elevation) this is driving me crazy!!! (See also Front Elevation for reference).

Your problem is this is an all in one family - correct? Because the category is not cuttable, all elements show up including what is behind the cut plane.

how does one go about making it "cutable"? ive made thousands of families and have never run into this issue.......the shower head and controls are a nested family, the rest is plain extrusions within the shawer stall (plumbing fixture) family.....
the only thing I see within the family is the "Cuts with Voids When Loaded" check box. i would normally check this if I have voids within the family that i want to cut out of its host, which this family does not contain any voids, all solid etrusions.

Cuttable is defined in your HELP.
We prefer to have these elements as seperate families and they are gouped together for easy placement rather than a combined family.

Open the nested families in the family editor. Under the Create tab click the Family Categories and Parameters button. Under family parameters scroll down and check the 'Shared' box. Load the familes back into the project.
The 'Shared' parameter is only relevant when the family is nested. If shared, you can select, tag, and schedule the nested family separately from the host family. It also allows for the nested family to not always display when the cut plane of the view intersects the host family.
