Greetings,

I am using Revit Arch 2013 and am exporting some RCPs to DWG for our services consultants to use.

However when I export my RCPs the compound ceiling grid (600x600 lay-in tiles) does not show up. Is there a way I can make it show up on the exported DWG drawings?

Many thanks,

CM.

They typically do show up unless you are doing something different.

Are you using the standard CAd export file?

Did you check the CAD file to see if the layer was turned off?

Thanks for your response,

I am using the standard EXPORT/DWG process, I have looked in the options and all items are checked. I have attached an image of exactly what I mean. I realise that its only a 600 grid which is fairly easy to replicate in autocad but I have 3 huge floors to get through and don't much fancy the extra work.

Any other thoughts?

Additional: I did check the CAD drawing and all the layers were turned on, the 600 ceiling was nowhere to be found.

Could this be a color issue?  I see your grid is white in Revit - could it then be black in CAD?

I see some other strange things.  Is your ceiling set to transparent?

Aha ! Yes that was it.

I had set the ceiling grid to be 50% transparent to I could see the steel work above. Now that I've set the ceiling to 0% transparency the grid does export fully.

Thanks very much for the help.
