I have a concrete tapered beam in my project. It will have a haunch and then tapers up to meet the slab depth. Should I make a family, as I have 3 beams that will be different, or should I just cut it with a void, etc? What is the best way to go about this?

I'd make a custom Haunched Beam.
Search Youtube for > 'CADclip Haunch Beam'.
