I am exploring a folded and perforated metal system which will  serve as a privacy screen between balconies and also the main architecture of some of the elevations of the project. [The client seems relatively enthusiastic by this.]

My strategy for creating the family is to use an adaptive component.  I then host the adaptive base geometry onto a curtain wall. This gives me the advantage that I can ‘toggle’ the scale of the panels.  The panels tessellate as a mirror vertically and horizontally.  [see diagram]

1.       Do you think that there is a more effective way to host the panels?

2.       I want to cut away the edge of the curtain panels, leaving a zigzag. What would be the best way to do this? Create another family? I already have four types and I would like to limit the number I create.

The Attached figures provide more detail. I have also included  a family for your assessment. In my opinion there are too many placement points but I couldn’t get the geometry to work property using shape-handle points.

Any comments / suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated.
