Hello
I am new to REVIT (used to autocad) and looking for a video or tutorial that explains work planes. When I am asked to choose a work plane what exactly does this mean?
Thanks

Work planes are only required for 3D elements. They can be actual work planes that you create in the model (while in a plan, section or elevation view), grids, levels and in some instances, flat plane surfaces of elements like walls, doors, roofs etc.
Plans are typically set to the work plane of the level they were created from but while in a plan view, you can select a different work plane if required. Just be careful doing this.
Elevations and sections have no associated planes set.
