When trying to create a flight of stairs I keep getting the followning message:
"Stairs require no less than two boundaries (chains of one or more Boundary Lines)."
This happens whether I am creating a straight flight, dog led or any other shape.
I dont seem to be doing anything different that usual.
Any ideas?

I am getting the same error msg "Stairs require no more than two boundaries (chains of one or more Boundary Lines)." I am trying to create a staircase with 2 curved boundaries & one landing in the middle. I have tweaked it in lots of different ways but still keep getting this error msg. I have laid out the risers, with the top & bottom ones meeting the boundaries, as well as the risers in btw going over the boundary line. Would be grateful if someone could help. Chewy.

I am also having this error, now, in 2011. I've never had this problem before, and it's driving me absolutely insane. I've made numerous stairs in this exact fashion, (correctly) and now all of a sudden it doesn't allow complex geometry, breaks in the boundry line for landings, etc. Seeing the date on these posts, my hope that this is a change in Revit's modeling in the latest update is out... but... I'm not sure I'm more relieved. Copying in old stairs ATM.

The solution is restarting revit. Turns out I was a few minutes away from a crash, and upon startup, the issue was resolved
