Hi,I have a ramp that is an ADA accessible ramp complete with flat landings. I'd like to make a simple gable roof that follows this ramp and maintains a constant ridge height from the ramp in section. IE wherever I cut the ramp in section, the roof looks the same. I thought an in place sweep of type roof would be the way to go, but it seems you can't select the edges of ramps. Anybody ever try this? Is there a way to make a simple gable and rotate it in elevation or something? Seems such a simple idea and very basic type of construction, but very difficult to figure out how to model it in Revit. I'm using Revit 2013.Thanks.-eric

Create a reference planeat the same angle as the ramp offset to the height you need and create an in place extrusion. Or a sweep if you need it to slope and go flat at the landings

That would be fine and good, but it's of course and ADA ramp with many flat areas, so short of creating a different roof for each stretch, that won't work either.  Seems like a real shortcoming in the roofs tool.

This isn't exactly a conventional roof so I don't really find it a shortcoming.  You can easily create a model in-place component under the roof category to achieve what you need
