Lowdown: Roughly 20 yrs experience in the CAD/ drafting area, recently (within the last 2yrs) got into Revit due to work requirement. At first i was bewildered and completely lost (especially after the 4 day Revit course)... now two years later i am more comfortable. although i wish i had a mentor to help me through the many daunting tasks and issues involved in learning Revit on the go. Work is completely over demanding and unsimpathetic to the work load on one person. Thats right, i currently am the only cat here that does this job. so, as you know, there are those that "think" its "just like cad, why does it take so long??"..
In being the lone wolf here, i am also in charge of building a library (i work Security Detention)... sooo, not to much help out there as far as models... So while i learn, and perfect my skills, i am also the BIM guy, the CAD guy, the printroom guy, the plotter repair guy, the supply guy, etc..... its that kool new concept, you know, slim down the company and make the guy do all he possibly can before an aneurysm hits... its all good, i like a challange!!!!!!!! nice to meet you all

Glad to have you here.
Revit is hard to learn as a single user. Our best Revit users are in an open area where they share problems and solutions. You don't have that but this site is possibly even better. It may look like your not being productive but monitoring this site and working through other user's problems and solutions will help you a lot.

I agree with WWHub, I had almost no training when I found this site and I check it constantly to keep brushing up on different problems and try to help people along the way. I find it even better than talking with colleaguesin my own office most times to solve problems.
