I have a 3 story load bearing building. The masonry walls extend continuously all the way to the roof. I have put a floor slab around the perimeter of the exterior walls (inside face). Now, I would like an easy way to cut the floor slab out of the wall.
Every post I have seen shows the opposite of cutting the wall with the floor by using the join command.
Any ideas?

You need to sketch the floor where it should be. If that is to the center of the wall or inside face or outside face, then sketch it there. When you are finished, Revit will ask if you want to cut the area out of the wall if they do intersect.

The floor sketch actually has to be changed and the floor HAS TO INTERSECT the walls.

I actually sketched in a new floor slab that crossed the wall, and it did not give me that option.
I am using R2012, by the way

Darn - now when did they change this and mess it up? I can't seem to make it work anymore either.
