Good Afternoon all,
I am quite new to Revit, so I thank you all in advance for your help, and I look forward to (hopefully) being able to contribute back to the community here as my skills grow.
I am using Revit Arc '13, and seem to be having trouble indicating the direction of my floor joists. The floor type is stock System Family:Floor --> Type: Wood Joist- x12 w/T&G. In edit boundaries, I have floor direction (at least I think thats what the double lines indicate) in a manner that would clearly show joists in section view.
I am trying to figure out if either a) this particular floor (or floors in general) do(does) in fact have detailing for 16" o.c., or b) if it does not, how I might go about indicating this in a section view.
On another note, I wonder if the methods that are actually used for the above problem are applicable to diagraming wood beams & columns?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

A floor type is essentially the layers that make up a floor thickness, if you have say 11 7/8" joist your floor thickness will be 11 7/8" but it will not actually show a joist. If you want to see an actual framing plan showing the joists you need to insert a beam family and create your beam system that way, there you can specify you O.C. spacing you require.
